Being that it is March, and the chance for freezing temps seems to be behind us now, my cold 30-40 day rainy temps at Road Atlanta will fall in-line with the OP's desires for traction on the hit and through shifting gears.
Also note, the Contis are available for all 2SS and SS1LE sizes.
