It makes complete sense when you simply factor out the wasted fueling being used by the engine to make up for the differences in the engine's temperature from side to side. Once again, I do not make COLD Dyno pulls as they serve no other purpose than to make inflated numbers. I run the car on the dyno at the same temps I would be at the racetrack... this is what you do when building for reliability and repeatable results ON THE TRACK.

The graph I am looking at the most when we are tuning the car is seeing whether or not the engine is pulling any timing at all when shifting from 4th to 8th gear, so I can have maximum power on the long straights... everything else is bonus material and nothing more. Honestly it could be making 600whp and I would not care... again, the importance is the operation at consistent elevated RPMs under maximum load over a duration of time.

These outputs are exactly why we have a load-cell dyno so we can replicate how the car will react when its charging up a hill like we do from turns 8 to 9 at RA, or fighting the Esses at VIR when loading hard throttle to crack it like a whip to rotate the car then stabbing it again on the downhill to Oak Tree... being able to run the engine on a dyno to simulate these loads as we can help me have the consistency at the track. This is where I've developed what works, how the cooling will drop MATs as the speed increases and removes all the issues typically associated with a ZLE on track and heat soak, of which I have none.

All of this was triggered by two videos where I had a GoPro on the rear bumper back when my car was essentially stock and thinking the white puffs were smoke when actually they were streams of unburnt fuel coming out of the exhaust. One of which was three motorcyclists chasing me at Deal's Gap upon at the end, one rider said he could "taste" the fuel in his helmet.

In the beginning of this video at each shift you see a plume of raw gasoline coming out of the exhaust, and throughout the entire run at each shift.

Here is the video from the perspective of the third Motorcycle Rider in this group... his commentary is hysterical!

It was the information I learned from watching these two videos and others from the bumper GoPro that lead me to reach out to Gale Banks and begin looking for abnormalities in the fuel system, cooling and more.

Several have said that I cannot possibly get the power from just an Oil Cooler upgrade, and I beg to differ as you can view the video below from my AWE Switchpath Exhaust rear bumper GoPro and see zero fuel loss now. This video was made running E35% and its easy to hear how smooth the engine was, how crisp the shifts are and definitely its easy to see I can pull the C8Z06 with ease.
