I personally like it the way it's set up. it drives great. When I did my dyno day I actually found out that my set up has an 11.39% drivetrain loss, so the configuration is very efficient.

Does your log show timing pull on the shift? If my memory serves me correct that switch doesn't do anything on 10l90's if you are still running a older version of HPt with the non enhancement A10 parameters.
