Nothing special was needed when we changed my SS front brakes over to the larger SS 1LE kit. The 1LE has different brake lines and smaller shields, but that's known and to be expected, the Chevrolet Performance upgrade kit also contains these parts.

The rears are identical between the SS and the SS 1LE, so as p47dman said, you can leave those in place (except you probably want new pads on all four corners).

If, however, you upgrade to ZL1 spec or the latest BCD spec brakes, then you'll need to swap out the rears, too, but fortunately the parking brake on the SS is a sensible one, you won't have any issues.
