Feeling like a broken record, but I have to point out that there is the Nitto 555
G2 and the Nitto 555 R2 (or
RII as the manufacturer dubbed it), and the difference between them is night and day.
- The G2 is a mediocre, cheap summer tire that doesn't do anything particularly well, unsuitable for a high horsepower RWD car
- The RII is a street legal drag radial that grips extremely well in dry weather, even at very high horsepower levels
Apples and (yellowish, not particularly appealing) oranges.
