So another trip to the shop, did a transmission tune on it and some more fiddling with the tune and this is what it’s doing. I post a link to the YouTube short.
Reminder we are looking at a car with a new Lingenfelter big bore high pressure fuel pump and it had clogged socks in the tank. While it was down they suggested changing the two pumps since they had some in stock. Did all that and granted it’s cold out and the car has a 160 degree thermostat it’s been driven and tuned a couple times now. After this trip today this is what it sounds like at idle in gear. I placed the phone at the top of the engine bay and got in the car and put it in reverse. The noise it’s making is what it’s doing now. Before today that noise would happen every once in a while for a short time. Now it does it as long as it’s idling in gear until I start driving. Drives fine. I mean I didn’t get on it or anything but just regular driving it’s fine. Kind of embarrassing that the car makes that noise at a stop light.
