Need advice dialing in tune – 2021 Camaro 1SS 1LE M6 w/ headers & logs attached
Hey everyone,
My brother recently picked up a 2021 Camaro 1SS 1LE manual, and we’re working through getting the car sorted out mechanically and tune-wise.
The car was previously modified with long tube headers and high-flow cats, still using the factory rear muffler section. Unfortunately, the tune that was on the car when he bought it was pretty rough — for lack of a better word, it was mangled. Within about 8 days of ownership, just driving ~10 miles to and from work, the motor ended up failing.
Long story short, we replaced the motor and started fresh. I flashed the car back to a stock tune using HP Tuners, and since then we’ve been working on improving the calibration to better suit the long tubes and high-flow cats.
At this point, the car runs much better, but we want to make sure everything is safe and dialed in properly.
I’ve attached:
3rd gear WOT log
4th gear WOT log
normal driving/cruise log
current tune file on the car
We’re hoping to get feedback from those more experienced with LT1 tuning:
• What changes would you recommend to improve the tune further?
• Do the logs show anything concerning?
• Does the car look safe as-is, or is there anything we should address before pushing it harder?
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Just trying to make sure the car stays healthy and runs the way it should.
Thanks in advance! P.S. Car is running 91 octane fuel
