Since you said you like twisty roads, get an SS, not an LT1 or SS 1LE. The LT1 has skinny tires in the rear. The SS 1LE has super high limits so it feels unalive when you are pushing it around twistys and in a straight line. You have to go way too fast to make a 1LE feel fun on public roads. The SS is the perfect balance for public road driving.
+1 on the SS being the correct "middle of the road" for both drivability and handling for us average Joe's, but I prefer the pre refresh looks of a '16-'18 the best. There are no "ugly" Camaro's IMHO, but... I love my '17. I also concur with the opinion about 1st model years, so that eliminates '16's (something you likely noticed on your 2010 5th gen, there were a few things that when you corrected them the car got even better).
So I would look for a clean 2017-18 SS Camaro. Best of luck and enjoy because whatever 6th Gen model you choose, it's gonna be so much more car than your 5th Gen that it will amaze you!
