It is normal, under the conditions written in that excerpt you have. What isn't though, is the conditions that it happens. It's designed to do that procedure under very low speeds and no turning as to not interrupt driving. My car is behaving as if it doesn't know it's turning or what speed it's at or that it has already done this procedure recently when it's only supposed to do it every few key cycles. The thing I worry about, is when I take it to VIR in July, is the car going to decide to do a purge event when I am halfway through turn 12 and it locks up the diff.
