This mild system replaces the stock pcv valve with their own which has a -6an line coming off it to the can. Then a line which runs to the throttle body I believe for vacuum, and a drain line coming off the bottom. Mine also has a line coming off the top with the road course top which runs to the bottom of the car with a little catch I made. The can has its own check valve like Josh said, so it runs back to the intake in most circumstances until pressure exceeds the check valve then vents out my line from the top, or filter in other setups. The road course top prevents oil from shooting out the filter on top if pressure got crazy and instead it would evacuate out the line going to the bottom into my catch. I've also replaced the stock line going from the stock air/oil separator to the intake with a -12an line I believe it is to help relieve crank case pressure as well.
Ok that makes sense. It's a larger PCV path while still using the CCV system going to the intake tube. Then the filter on the can is only used when needed because of the check valve in the top of the can.
Does the valve open under any pressure? Or is it like a poppet valve that needs to be a specific pressure or higher?
