This is interesting.
I never really observed the transmission oil temp, but was curious after seeing this thread. I have the LT1 trim level and M6 without the HD cooling pack, so no independent auxiliary cooler, but there are still lines that go to/from the radiator. The temp gauge on the LT also presents differently than the SS, but I assume the resolution of the sensor and gauge are the same on both trims.
I went for a short 10-15 drive today and observed the trans temp. Air temp was in the low 70'sF. I leaned into it a few times but no WOT pulls. The trans temp was around 135F by the end of the drive.
