Yes, the coast down felt a bit surreal. The car had no more in it as it sits...so the run was complete before the SUV...which was noticed long before. I was hoping to avoid any braking, but it was minor. Aerodynamic drag itself slows things significantly.

This stretch of autobahn is 60 mins drive away...but is a favorite as flat, straight, concrete and no on-ramps for ~4+ miles. Typically, it is desolate, but doing the run at day-break at this time of year, means 0715 and even on a Sunday - had more traffic than desired.

Gearing on the SS is about perfect, IMO. The tuner recommended setting the limiter on this long stroke/non-sleeved block to 7100...and I was almost there. Fresh rear tires might net me another mph or two. Resetting the front alignment to 0 camber vice the 'track' setting of -2.5 could also help. Possibly managing the blower temps (rev'ing it out in 4th at light throttle) would also be a benefit as significant ignition timing was pulled at the top-end - from the overworked 1.7 liter blower.

I rarely see folks at high speed on the autobahns, but cheer them on when they go by. Long time goal - and completely legal. :-)
