I’ve already accepted that I’m gonna have to get it repaired on my own haha. I knew getting the headers I wasn’t gonna get approved more than likely for any warranty work and I should’ve gotten the tune but unfortunately I didn’t. But yall are all right. I mean the dealership was saying it’s a cheaper route to get a new/used engine put in it than it would be to try and rebuild the engine I have. They never opened it up to look into it and see exactly what was wrong with it but from what I saw, there’s no metal in the oil or anything. Again this is my first time dealing with any major engine problem like this and I don’t have sound clip to post unfortunately. It was a knocking sound coming from the lower part of the engine on the drivers side. I don’t want to have to pay to have a shop tear it down just to find out it’ll be a cheaper option to buy a used engine but if there’s a good chance the rotating assembly wasn’t ****ed then I’d like to go that route and just upgrade the lifters and other parts of the top part of the engine.
