This is the sad truth about mods. I sold my 2021 ZL1 with 18k in mods for $68k which to me wasn't bad given that I paid $69K for the car when I bought it new in late 2020. The car had 12K miles on it and was immaculate but I sold it locally to a friend of mine. I didn't even bother trying to see if I could get more on the open market because I thought that price was more than fair given the car was 4 years old, and at best, you'll get HALF your mod money back out of it.
Now here I am with a 2024 CT5-V Blackwing which I bought used for $90k which was an absolute steal at that price and I'm about to dump $20k in mods in it come November. Like my ZL1 which I modified within the first 3 months of ownership, if I keep this Blackwing for 4+ years like I did my ZL1, I'll feel just fine selling it for anywhere near 90K if that time comes.
