That is what I was going to suggest when reading over this thread (havent been on in a while).
I figured this out after I chopped up my foam beyond the point of it being of NVH benefit... To which, honestly, is mainly around/near the HPFP.
I have an MSD sitting around that I will eventually test run, but I think you can use the foam with minor cutting, as well.
Side note: The NVH isn't horrible without the foam, but it seems my engine runs a touch cooler without the foam under the LT2, in that the LT2 creates a decent gap between the engne valley and the intake manifold.
