The Supremacy Clause, located in Article VI, Paragraph 2 of the U.S. Constitution, establishes that the U.S. Constitution, federal laws made under it, and treaties are the "supreme Law of the Land". This means that if a state or local law conflicts with a valid federal law or treaty, the federal law takes precedence, and state courts must follow it.

Breaking one law doesn't obsolve criminals from a law abiding citizen invoking their rights. Not saying, just saying.
