Amtrak Auto Train

My wife and I took the Amtrak Auto train, from Lorton Virginia to Sanford Florida, and back last week with my 2023 SS Convertible. They treated my car with respect and I found no damage from the train ride. Normally they put a magnetic sign with your car number on the driver side door, but the guy said my car was too nice and didn't want to scratch it, so he let me put it on the dash. We had a roomette on the way down, but upgraded to a full room on the way back. It's not cheap, but it saved 2,000 miles on my car, a full day of driving and staying in a hotel. The roomette and room options are first class, so dinner and breakfast are included along with an attendant for your train car. Going coach is a lot cheaper, but that's like sitting in an airplane for 15 hours. Just wanted to pass this along if anyone had thought of taking a trip up/down the East coast.
