There are some issues and "potential" issues with this. I've read that some service facilities will not touch an r1234yf system if r134a has been added. Certainly I would not do this on a car still under warranty.
I have a honda with a slow leak and have been recharging with the yf once per year. It's a very small leak and I don't have a good dye stain anywhere (yet).
