I like the OEM pads performance wise but my last 2 sets have each had a chunk of the pad come out far before the pad was down to minimum thickness. The pads in the car now are missing a decent size chunk but there so much life left thickness wise.
I found the same thing when I took a set of OEM pads off, they were chipped and cracked and chunks fell off. Only had a couple thousand miles on the car when I changed them out.
