So after letting the car idle on the lift for about 15–20 minutes, I noticed the Fuelab filter gets really hot, way hotter than expected. Even though I mounted it away from the engine bay to avoid that heat, it seems like the underbody area is getting heat-soaked from the exhaust and cat right underneath. The whole floor panel in that area gets warm.

I’m now thinking about cutting a few vent holes into the front part of the underbody panel to let some airflow in while driving. Also looking into adding some heat shielding around the filter and maybe isolating the bracket a bit since it’s aluminum and could be conducting heat into the filter too.

Would be interesting to know, has anyone else noticed the same issue?

@Gabe your setup looks super clean also! Would love to see what your thermal camera shows in that area after a drive. I’m sure you’ve already got a smart fix figured out..
