I think this could be true on the dyno with the hood opened...likely how it will or was tested. But if you look at where it can pull in fresh air, that path is smaller than the RFBG and I think this will cause a drop in airflow vs the RFBG with the hood down when at higher RPM.
I'd love to see the dyno hood opened vs hood closed on the JLT design.
