@Mike, that's great wear. Wish I could get down that far! I never get down that low. With rotations, I always wear the outside shoulder first and then retire the whole set. I figure, they're cycled out by then anyway.

@USMUCL, I too am an instructor with HOD. I just visited COTA for the first time last month. Did a 2:29.5 with 3R's. Randy Pobst drove my car and did a 2:28.3. It was a treat to sit passenger while he did it. I gotta post a video sometime soon! Anyway, just saying I totally get the not mindset of not tracking in the rain.

It sounds like we're spending the same amount of money per session, scrubs vs 3R's. I might have to give them a try. However, if I do, that means I need 18" wheels which then means I need coilovers too. And if I'm taking scrubs, I need to load them in the car whereas I can drive the 3R's on the street. Ugh, this shit is a slippery slope!

Finally, with some discounts, I can buy a set of 295/30/19 Toyo R's (the replacement of the RR) for roughly $6-800. They would be stretched on my 19x11 wheels but that's probably a good thing. If they perform similar to 3R's, that might be my go to tire. Just another thing for me to consider!

@Carguy55, 2 seconds faster than all the others?! That's crazy. In some ways, that makes me not want to try them for fear I'll never want to go back!
First time with HOD, I was also there and had a brief discussion with Randy. Should have asked if he would drive my car also. Somehow in C group I got a clean lap and a 2:27.46 on SC3Rs. I really like how the SC3Rs handle the heat in TX but thinking about scrubs. Have been in the 2:26s but the ZL1 seems to rarely make full power in TX. 2:27s-2:28s are repeatable with these tires for me. Garmin says I should be in the 2:25s if the stars align.
