That's because it's so easy to make consistent reliable power with boost. Nitrous made sense when you needed an engineering degree to do forced induction on some platforms. Especially those with ECM limitations. All the tables and sensors have been available to run forced induction on GM factory ECU's since gen 4 LS. So it's a no brainer for street cars. I can still see a case being made for running nitrous on a drag car.
