Yeah it sucked at the time, many hours lost trying to see if maybe the SD card had that 1 minute of footage hidden or somehow stored on the dashcam itself.

In the end, I cheaped out ($100) dashcam and learned my lesson. I do still check the files of all dashcams at least once a month but haven’t had that same issue come up again since moving to the VIOFO cameras. Blackvue is nice and would be on my future purchase list, I haven’t looked much into them since swapping but I only bought cams with the STARVIS 2 image sensor at the time, I made this comparison which is a little outdated but basic features are the same
