The only downside to using an Lt2 intake is if you have to upgrade to an Lt4 hpfp is the Lt2 will not clear the pump. I didn't know this so I ended up buying an msd I found a deal on. If not for that my car would still have an Lt2 on it.
Just to be clear I did the comparison with both intakes stock , not ported and it was a 20 rwhp gain with no tuning. I have a Dyno jet 248 just like Pray used in the video.

If you run spacers the LT2 will clear the LT4 HPFP.

You can run it without a tune and pick up some power. A tune is nice to keep everything dialed in but no parameters should really change much to need a tune, it's still made for a 87mm TB and to sit on LT heads. There's enough smart in the ECM to take advantage of the better flow characteristics up top to let you rev a little further.

Aside from the Hi Ram, I think it's the best looking manifold to sit on the Gen 5 LT engines, even without the cover. I saw one that had a complete shave job done and a nice paintjob, looked really sharp. There are some clearance issues when running the cover with a stock hood, it rubs pretty good just before the heat extractor vents on the 19+ hood style. Not sure if it's the same spot on the 16-18 hoods. It gets worse if, like me, you have to run spacers to clear a LT4 HPFP. I had to actually notch the stock hood for the cover, it really did a number on my paint job. So I have to repaint the cover now that I have an Anderson CF hood. I went a couple different routes trying to minimize the cosmetics of the material I had to notch out but I wasn't happy with it. Felt like if I was gonna have the hood cut up like that, I might as well run a Hi Ram and make it worth all the cutting LOL. But I really like the Anderson hood and really didn't want to shift my setup to make use of a Hi Ram, so it worked out nice. I had a lot of visions of paint schemes I wanted to do with the cover, but this one was less wild and I could keep everything matching. Eventually I want to get custom plates made to replace the "Corvette" with "Procharged" but inspiration hasn't come to me for it, yet.
