That's a good explanation and is was my understanding in the beginning that this was the difference between the Ford and Chevy versions. Both Ford and GM co-built the A-10 trans and Camaro was the very first to use it.
I actually owned the 2nd production A10 for both Ford and GM on my 2017 ZL1. I was told the GM valve bodies were tuned completely different from Ford or GM trucks due to the performance shifting aspect. There's also a difference between 10L80 SS and 10L90 ZL1.
