The BTR220 is going to make effective power around 6500rpm. This is great for the LT2 IM. The MSD shines above 6500 RPM. You'll still make some gains over the LT2, but the cam is going to hold the MSD back, IMO. Head porting will play into this as well. I think the LT2 is going to pay better dividends with the BTR220 in terms of power under the curve over the MSD's peak performance. The BTR220 is going to run out of steam by 6700 or so.

IMO, if you're going to run the MSD you want to be running out to 7,000+.

A FBO Ported Heads, LT2 ported w/ported 95mm TB with a BTR220 on E I don't see why you couldn't lay down 500whp+ all day. E is going to help a bunch. Not sure how much E you can squeeze through the LT1 fuel system, I think around E30-40?
