I pay $11-12 per quart for the Amsoil Signature I use, so it isn't much more expensive than the Mobil1 Supercar 0W-40. Honestly, I never understood why people would want to save $1-2 per quart of oil looking for Walmart or Costco deals, or buy an oil filter that's $2-3 cheaper... this is the lubricant that keeps your $10-15K engine alive, the filter is what keeps particles out of combustion chambers, they aren't where one should cheap out IMO.

I'm not sure if it's the same profile, but I probably should (and will) just shut up in this Supercar 0W-40 thread with my built LT1. I'm not recommending that anyone switch to Amsoil, I'm just saying it's the best oil and my engine is happy with it.
