This article, "
Comparative Performance of 12 Crankcase Oil Mist Separators" published by SAE International evaluated Catch Cans and Catch Filters using a test apparatus to simulate oil mist from closed positive crankcase ventilation systems.
A catch can or catch filter doesn't care if the source of the oil vapour/mist is from a diesel or gas engine.
To control the pressure and vacuum in the crankcase, insert this Dual Flow PCV valve after the Catch Filter or Catch Can leading to the vacuum created from the intake manifold. Similar installation and setup recommended by
Tracy Lewis Performance.
A poorly ventilated crankcase results in a build-up of pressure and moisture along with the creation of acids and sludge. The PCV system if incorrect has the ability to affect all aspects of engine running and performance.
ME Wagner Performance made in the USA, invented the Dual Flow PCV valve to cure engine’s chronic engine oil leaks, in-car oil smell, a non-responsive carburetor or EFI system, idle concerns and prematurely dirty crankcase oil.
