The right (efficiency) turbos will easily outpower the LT4 (and others); they don't have to be big turbos either, pound-for-pound boost. IAT's will likely be lower than the SC. Yes, there will be some lag when slamming the throttle at a low RPM but if the motor is in the higher band, boost will be very quick (but not the instantaneous slam of the LT4). There are now oil-less turbos that don't heat the oil, some are water-cooled (choices out there). But then again, that SC instant torque of slamming one back in the seat is not like a turbo jetliner takeoff.
