Interesting thing that came out of this for anyone who wants to put a ball on their stock shifter (or the Hurst short shifter with Camaro stock config). I had contacted Barton Industries who makes the aluminum adapter and left them a message asking if they make it in black. I got a call today and they checked with their shop guy and he said he could powder coat/paint and they now added that as an option on their website (for an extra $20).
If anyone wants a black powder coated or black glossy Barton adapter to allow a thread on our stock handles, they now make them as of today. It is a non standard 3/4-16 thread but Speed Dawg will drill for this odd size.
