What sort of MPG is that supposed to get? (That's a Trax, right?)

Yeah, it's the Activ trim. That's one of the two top trims on the Trax. They have a 2RS, which is also a top trim, for the same price that gets 19-inch rims, where mine are 18-inch. They're also designed a little different as well. The Activ has blacked out rims instead of two-tone, and they look a lot better IMO. Also, the grill design is different on the two models.
Big issue is the 2RS doesn't have power seats. On the Activ it has a power driver's seat, with even lumbar control, where the passenger seat is manual.
And it gets 32mpg on the highway, 28 in the city, and 30 combined. Sometimes I get a little more, and sometimes I get a little less. But those numbers are damn close. Plus, it can use regular unleaded, which saves a lot over premium our Camaros eat.

I hear you on the wet timing belt issue. Working on hot rods and vehicles now going on almost 40 years that was something I didn't like at all. But I have an extended warranty that only credit unions offer from a company called U.S. Route 66. I paid around $2,400 for a bumper to bumper warranty out to 8 years or 120,000 miles they added to my loan.
And some people say extended warranties are junk. Not in my case. They paid out over 4 grand on my Camaro with no hassles whatsoever. They even changed both front control arm assemblies with the ball joints at around 100k on the Camaro, which I figured would be wear and tear items. But they did it no hassles. Also did the fuel pump, BCM, and thermostat. Just paid for the fluid. Great company for anybody looking to keep a car a long time.
With the wet timing belt wasn't taking chances over here. The manual says change it at 150k. I call bull crap on that one. I'll probably change it at around 80k or sooner. Also, being a turbo, I'm changing the oil every 3,500 miles because of how hot they make the oil and degrade it. Plan on keeping this a long time before I get my next project.
Also, you can get the base for I think 21,500 if you're just looking for something really inexpensive. You don't get the big touchscreens and all the bells and whistles, but it's an option. You also lose the fake leather seats, which look pretty good, and get cloth. You can ditch the $750 safety package as well.
If it only had my 455HP engine from my Camaro it would be close to perfect. But no buyer's remorse. Enjoying the heck out of it after pushing almost 10k miles. It's fun to drive. And, luckily, not a single problem yet. Great subcompact SUV for the money.

Yeah, 2020. Was a long dang day at work. And thank you. Yeah, that was a tough one. Just trying not to buy now high before prices tank, assuming they do, and not get tagged again on the other end of it. That was a real kick in the ass, and a ton of money I lost.
