It will absolutely affect the TCM

It reprograms the TCM with stock values + the software update to detect the issue.

Then if people like us reflash our proper tunes, what are we doing?

Erasing the previous tune, and uploading our own.

Thus no software lock out.

Or at the very least we have to have our cars retuned to be inclusive of the software lockout.
