Technically speaking though, using VP Racing Octanium would accomplish the same thing as E20. There isn't any chemical cooling effect, but it increases the detonation buffer. You will still lose power as the blower heats up because you have to pull timing at a faster rate than if you had meth injection or E50+.

Just a thought in case you were limited on fueling room. To run any sort of E on a boosted LT1, you're likely going to need the LT4 hpfp and injectors.

OK. So when adding only E20, there is no real point in a Flex. Just having it in the mix can help mitigate some of the potential detonations.
I already have LT4 fueling End-to-End, so in this respect, I am covered and "ready" for E (even to a high rate of it ~50-60 I believe), however, unfortunately, I do not have E readily available - in high enough accessable quantities. Wish I had an E-Pump in my back yard
My understanding is, that for pure 93 pump gas, LT4 fueling is not helping at all, I.E. in mitigating detonation?
This means, that I basically wasted my money, getting the Injectors and fuel pumps?
