If I were to have just pulled apart the interior and spliced it in somewhere, it would have probably taken a day, with me taking my time and enjoying the process. That's the key, though. You need to put it somewhere deep in the interior where it's hard to get to- that takes time and some forethought. Lots of options, though.

If you have any electrical experience, it's pretty straightforward from a difficulty standpoint. If it's your first-ever electrical project, you'll probably want to phone a friend.

No issues with purchasing. Bought it just like anything else online, and when you go to purchase it does the currency conversion for you through the payment site they use. Shipping was only a few days. Surprisingly, no different than if I'd ordered it from within the US.

Overall, it was the path I wanted to take. I'm a cheapa$$ and couldn't justify $1,200 for $50 (or less) worth of electrical components. Plus I never trust anyone with my toys except myself. I also didn't want fobs or phone compatibility or anything else that could open exposure. I just wanted to punch buttons in the car itself, nothing else. This was that solution for me. Been very happy with it so far (about a year I think). Works great! Enter the code, car starts. Don't enter the code or enter the wrong code, car won't start. Simple and effective.

As I understand, this is actually the previous generation IGLA. They are/were all made by a company in Poland called SEO I believe. That may not be true anymore, but I think that's what I found when I did the research originally. Here's the website:

Rob,

Thanks so much for the info! I too have additional anti-theft measures but believe this is well worth the time and investment.

Making the purchase today! Thanks for the guidance!
