Guess you can reduce it if you switch themes on a regular basis, but I don't, I use the standard theme (with the 4 mini gauges) 90% of the time and the technology theme otherwise. The outline of these four small gauges shows the worst burn-in, but it's not a big deal, you can only see it from certain angles and when the cluster is inactive. The only reason I brought it up is to illustrate how cheap these car makers are with their tech choices.
Yes, 2019+ cars have a higher resolution cluster (1920x1080 vs 1280x720) and possibly different panel technology (cross your fingers  ).

Wow, I didn't know LCDs could burn in to be honest. I've seen "image retention" issue on panels, but this does sound like proper burn in. Guess I should actually change themes from time to time..
Oh good I'm not going crazy. Well here's to hoping it's a panel less prone to burn in! (Fingers are crossed, lol)
