I drove a C7 and would say the visibility was about the same as the Camaro. The C7 might have been a little better out the front due to the lower slung hood.
I've never drove a C8, but sat in a few. Rear visibility is the worst I've experienced (if one doesn't consider the rear camera mirror).
I think the Camaro visibility is poor. It took a while for me to get used to, but I've always drove fish bowl cars. (I wish I had the rear camera mirror.) I'm mostly used to it now and learned to adjust my mirrors accordingly and trust them. That said, it's scary when making a left turn at an angled junction, so much so that I just avoid them; would rather make a right turn and then make a u turn. Forget about making a left turn and then stopping in the middle of the road - between medians - to look for oncoming traffic (can't see ****); mine as well use the same tactic as my previous sentence.
