So true.
I, along with others, tried to debunk these perceived "dealbreakers" a million times, but the meme is just too strong. I have peripheral vision issues and yet I got used to the "horrible" visibility in 10-15 minutes, had no problem using the backseat while my kids were younger (and didn't have their own vehicle), and the trunk happily swallowed up 4 carry-ons and a few extra bags when we moved to TN from up north.
Now, could these drawbacks be improved? Absolutely (split taillights, anyone at GM? BMW has been doing that since an eternity, even other GM vehicles have them), I doubt the roofline
really had to be lower than the 5th gen, and in fact the rear mirror camera in the 2020+ solves any remaining concerns with visibility, but at the end of the day this is a freaking sports car, not an Escalade, dammit.
