Well, today I finally got my full AWE Touring catback installed, including the x-pipe and resonated mid-pipes. I have ARH catless headers, H/C, and FBO so the AWE salesman suggested and recommended resonators and xpipe to tone it down a little bit.
Compared to the Corsa:
- AWE is a bit louder at idle and low/medium throttle.
- AWE is much louder at startup - there's a noticeable "bark".
- Corsa is a bit louder at WOT.
- Both tips are amazing (my two favorite out of all the options), the AWE are slightly larger.
- AWE is definitely growlier/deeper compared to Corsa. It's true what they say, the AWE gives it a bit of the muscle car sound, while the Corsa gives it more of the racecar sound. Best I can describe it is that Corsa is like a panther screaming while the AWE is like a lion or wolf
- It's mostly preference. I'm loving the AWE so far in different ways, as summarized above.
