At the same time, let's not forget that Bill Wise was shifting the ZL1 1LE himself, and although he did it like a champ, the A10 would easily beat him by several seconds. So the 6th gen Camaro, still on the Alpha chassis, could get very close to the GTD's time with some easily obtained extra horsepower.

Alas, GM never took the automatic to the Nürburgring, and of course they never bothered to improve the LT4 in the 10 years of its production, so we will probably never know.
