I would say the sum of the parts/options and their how desirable they are, are MORE a factor than the "1 of x" number. Rare doesn't always mean valuable. Also keep in mind that the more "rare" is it, assuming that translates to value, also means that every mod and every mile
affects that value.
My personal opinion is that, if you keep the car in good shape and don't modify it, the fact that it's been featured in various different forms of media adds a cool factor, and the high options will probably bring a higher premium over time, HOWEVER....probably not enough to make any real world difference. My financial
advice would be to not worry about value, drive and modify it however you would any other car. That being said, it's got some cool history. You sorta have to make this call for yourself.

*Edit*- I was THIS close to buying a 92 c4 COPO Corvette. GM ordered the car with decent options, but nothing you wouldn't possibly see in the average buyer's spec. Like your car, it had some media coverage and it came with some candid photos and magazines where it was featured. It also came with the COPO. The Central Office Production Order. In the good ole days of course, COPO meant you had something special! -and while THIS Corvette wasn't really in any way what those old COPO cars were in the 60's, it was still, by definition, a COPO car. To have that physical COPO form/build sheet, with the media history, to ME.....made the car valuable. Price was no different than a hundred other c4s though. Ultimately my love of 3rd gens won out, and I bought another Z, but you get the idea, lol.
