Chevrolet and gm have turned their back on Nascar before and now they're a kinder, gentler corporate behemoth so no big surprise there.
Well GM just committed to $450,000,000 for their seat at the F1 table. Possible GM doesn't feel the return for NASCAR anymore, noting that attendance and viewership are down and F1 is up and growing.

Ford? Why spend so much to race a car that sells less than 50,000 units per year and basically has no competition until the ICE Challenger comes back sometime next year. So other than the Ford brand, not much value there. And I read Ford was also trying to get an F1 team as well.
