Dealer by me wants $400 just to do a r1234yf recharge with dye.
I got myself a $60 can of refrigerant with dye (Autozone) and a set of r1234 adapters for my old r134a gauges (another $30 from amazon). Amazon also sells evacuation pumps (2 stage, even) for under $200.
In the grand scheme of things, the tool prices for these jobs have dropped a lot in the last 20 years while the cost of refrigerant has skyrocketed!
