And with GM cars, having the key will auto adjust seat location for that key so I haven’t had to use the buttons on our XT4. My VW allows a single button push though as it doesn’t recognize the key.

I don't know why you feel the need to deflect even on this trivial comment.
Remote windows down is enabled on the Camaro, which is just as unattended. BTW I'm positive window up was disabled because a kid might get their fingers stuck in the window and then their parents would sue. I personally never tested auto reverse, I didn't know we had that in the Camaro (do we?).
Auto memory recall is a different feature and a workaround at best. Single button activation movement is such obvious and ancient functionality I struggle to understand why someone would want to force people to hold a button down to operate anything. Again, the only thing I can think of is something getting stuck in the rails or a body part between the door or the floor mat and the seat.
And then again, my wife's 2016 Traverse has single press seat memory button activation plus auto memory recall tied to the fob, so your argument there doesn't hold water either. GM already had this done right, then moved backwards on the Camaro.
Sorry olrocker, didn't mean to hijack the thread with this, but it feels like good indication or symptom of the same underlying problem.
