My story on this is akin to getting a surprise Christmas gift! I bought my 2018 Hot Wheels 50th 2SS M6 barely used in 2021 with around 1375 miles on it. It’s only a weekend toy, and I’ve known about the SSE for years, and I had a 2010 1SS, that I was planning to install it on, but sold the car first.

Fast forward to 2021, when I purchased my current Camaro. I start driving it here and there, and would see the message come up, that tells you to shift to 4th. I just started driving it like I did my 2010 SS, to work around the issue. Then, one day, I decide to gently try and shift it into to 2nd, just in case the first owner had installed it, where he had installed the GM CAI with tune, and Eureka, Gold!! I wasted about a thousand miles avoiding something that was never there. I had been under the impression that the message would not be there if the SSE had been installed. I discovered that the message still appears, from you wonderful human beings, on the forums. lol. I owe you all for my surprise Christmas discovery!
