Hey GM, as more and more of our cars are stolen, and thousands of posts on forums, facebook, and other sites explode on the issue, we remain confused by the utter silence and inaction by you. GM leadership has long made it clear they lack the initiative or the creativity to lead the industry on virtually anything so I thought I’d help out by showing you one more area where you could follow your peers by creating and installing a software patch that would lock down the ability to duplicate a key and start the vehicle from the OBD port.
For my fellow Camaro enthusiasts, I kindly request you post pictures of your stolen or attempted stolen Camaro in this thread as a demonstration of this widespread issue!
“Hyundai Vice President Dave VandeLinde told FOX Business that they have already equipped 1.6 million customers with the software upgrades needed to prevent them from easily being stolen. While they are 60% through, VaneLinde says there's still a lot more work that needs to be done.”
