In an earlier post, it was stated about the 2011 Neiman Marcus Edition: "They carried RPO code V9Z. They were however painted Black at the factory so someone else painted them the Bordeaux for GM."

RPO order code V9Z? Yes.

Painted twice? A special edition? No. Never.

The SPID label of the Neiman Marcus cars (I have attached a photo of a NM SPID) does indicate RPO V9Z, which is for the Edition. So far, so good.

And, the SPID label actually does indicate RPO GBA, which is the ORDER CODE for Black paint. NM cars were OREDERED in the factory system as GBA. However, they were not PAINTED in GBA. They were painted GGY, Deep Bordeaux, the merchandising name. GM's corporate name for GGY is Mystic Bronze.

The PAINT CODE is also indicated on the SPID label: 7245, which is the NM Deep Bordeaux color (some online sites incorrectly indicate 724S). The Black paint used on Camaro is paint code 8555, and has been since 1986.

Unfortunately, 2011 Camaro color production totals do not breakout the NM GGY. GBA production totals include GGY.
