Yep. I saw that article for whatever reason when I was mucking around on Google. DI will make more power than PI for sure. It's like supercharging without the supercharger itself on a NA vehicle.
Vote me for another person who is against running meth. Too much chance of a failure during spirited running. Run E and you will love the power output results from it. Fuel economy will take a hit but it's worth it considering how much more power you can get out of it vs. 91/93 pump fuel. I'm really happy with what I'm making and all it took for me was a JMS, stock style LT5 cam with a 32% high side fuel lobe a 12% pulley and optimized tuning to get to the power level I'm at. Hell of a street setup and still will pass emissions, plus it can run the "stock" tune if it ever needs to.
