If you don't have the slide tensioner washer on the back side oriented in the correct direction, it makes the supplied belt almost impossible to get on and maxes out tensioner. Moral of the story is, when you see odd issues like this don't automatically assume it's that part. Something else is likely causing the problem.

I'll pay attention to this when I get the new pulley in. It was suggested I go a size down but it took sometime to get the belt on in the first place. Haven't changed it in a while so I have a new belt also so we'll see what happens.
