Other than the news articles you mentioned, I have not seen anything printed from GM regarding the warranty coverage for track days/HPDE. I do track mine, but have not had any mechanical warranty work as of yet.

All you have to go by is the fact that the car comes with a performance owners manual supplement and a track prep manual. They have manuals specifically telling us how to set up the car for track use, so if they didn’t feel the car was capable, then why provide those instructions? That would be my argument anyway if it came to it. Run it up GM customer service if the dealer is being obstructive.
